Little League International Age Charts
Your player’s league age is determined by the Little League Baseball® and Little League Softball® Age Charts. The dates for baseball and softball are different, but each determines the division in which your Little Leaguer will play this season. The Age Determination Date for a Little League Baseball player is the actual age of a child on August 31 of the current year. The Age Determination Date for a Little League Softball player is the actual age of a child on December 31 of the previous year.

T-Ball recommended ages 4 to 5
Coastal recommended ages 5 to 7 
Farm recommended ages 7 to 8*
Minors recommended ages 8 to 11* 
Majors recommended ages 10 to 12*
Juniors recommended ages 12 to 14*

*If you believe your child can play in a division above their age group, they must come to tryouts and be drafted by a coach. Coaches will evaluate the skill level of each kid during tryout for Minors and Majors divisions only. If a player who is below the league age requirement is not drafted, they'll be assigned to the league of their peers.
